green

“The tree which moves some to tears of joy is in the eyes of others only a green thing that stands in the way. Some see nature all ridicule and deformity… and some scarce see nature at all. But to the eyes of the man of imagination, nature is imagination itself.” (william blake)

I love this quotation! I love trees, I can lose myself in the contemplation of trees for hours. I suspect that I have a bit of druid blood running through my veins. :)

Thank you!

This photograph and the processing are absolutely intoxicating. It makes me think of this poem that I read:

Emerald Green, I adore you
When the wind blows, you shake
When we jump, you land first
I want to sing, “You’re everywhere
around me, making my heart want
to burst!”
You’re on the trees I always climb
You’re on the grass I lie in
You grow on me
You make me smile everywhere I go
I am always thinking about you
You flow down the river, whistling
my song

Love it, love it. My two favorite colors in the world are green and brown. The colors of nature. My kindergarten students knew this and whenever they drew me they had be in a green shirt and khaki pants. It was too cute.

That gorgeous green is balm to my eyes today. California is on fire and we’re looking at everything through a haze of smoke right now.

oh, my, goodness. I miss that kind of green!!!!

Florida, so far for me, is not that type of green. Deep rich, wet, soulful green.

It would be sad to not see the beauty in nature… to only see it as something to knock down to build other things in it’s place. :(

The green in this photo, and all around me in this lovely warm summer is just wonderful. Green is good for the soul. I could wrap my spirit in green.
